Although predominantly a sixth form college Franklin does take a small number of post 19 learners every year.
What Makes Us Different
Franklin College is the only educational establishment within the local area that offers students the chance to join the UK Career Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a presigious and reputable national programme that offers students opportunities outside of their normal curriculum with focus on raising achievements and aspirations.
Franklin College prides itself on a first class Student Services Team. The team comprises of Careers Advisers, Welfare Support, Counsellors, Learning Skills Support, Student Support Assistants and Student Information Officers.
Franklin College has an extensive enrichment programme available to all it's students. Recent activities have included sports fixtures (both home and away), foreign study visits, visiting guest speakers, college performances (music and drama). The college also supports events such as World Health Month and The Day of European Languages with college activities.
Students have access to a wide range of enrichment activities which include sport teams, study visits, foreign exchanges, Career Academies, debating teams and Extended Project.
Each year 90% of Franklin College students who apply to HE gain a place at their first choice institution.

Franklin College is located on one site on Chemsford Avenue, Grimsby.
After students reach the age of 17 they often have the use of a car for travel to college. There is monitored car parking available.
The college is served by routes provided by Stagecoach and Coopers. The college has worked with these companies to build up direct routes to college from Immingham, Stallingborough, Healing, Louth and the A16 villages. Students can apply to North Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire authorities for concessionary travel passes.
The routes from Barnetby and Barton-upon-Humber are used by a number of students, many of whom live in villages with stops along the way,
