John Leggott College in Scunthorpe is a Sixth Form College offering a wide range of A Levels and BTEC qualifications to school leavers in North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, and the East Riding - and you can travel to us for just £30 per year!
We are the best performing college in the Humber region, achieving a 99% A Level pass rate, 50% A*-B grades, and getting hundreds of student every year onto great destinations such as Russell Group universities (including Oxford and Cambridge), and fantastic higher apprenticeships with prestigious companies across the UK.
We offer an amazing support system for all students, tailored to suit you! This includes our A*spire programme, inclusive learning, mentoring, and health & wellbeing. We also provide students with support to gain valuable work experience if they choose to take this up. Our students have completed 45,000 hours of work experience over the last year, and this is part of what helps us support students to gain places on competitive university or apprenticeship courses once they finish their time with us.

What Makes Us Different
What makes us different from other colleges and school sixth forms is the number of different things we can offer you, from over 50 courses to mix and match, to work experience, additional learning activities, support for any issue you may have, stretch and challenges opportunities, visits and summer schools with fantastic universities, and individual support with your future plans - whatever you want from a college, you can find it with us!
We also have a thriving international community here at JLC, with almost 100 students coming to us from countries around the world to live with a local family and study at JLC. No other college in the region has this level of diversity and culture, making us a unique place to be.
We can offer you support with anything that you need, as and when you need it. We have several dedicated teams across college who work closely together to ensure that you are supported and able to reach your potential. Our student services team deal with transport and finance, so that distance and money are no obstacle for studying with us. Our health & wellbeing team provide help and advice around medical issues, as well as offering a counselling service that all students can access at a time to suit you. Our mentoring team offers a wide range of support, and are often your first contact if you need help with anything. Our opportunities & destinations team provide individual support with work experience, careers advice, applications and more, making sure you are prepared for the next step. And finally our inclusive learning team - they provide support to hundreds of students across college for a range of different things, and can support students with physical support needs, medical support needs, or any learning support needs that you may have. They also help students with skills such as communication, and can help to build your confidence during your time with us so that you feel ready for life beyond JLC.

Continuing investment at John Leggott College has ensured that every department has top facilities for its students, meaning you can gain all the skills and knowledge you will need for further study or in the workplace.
In recent years the science laboratories and art studios have been refurbished. High quality dance and drama studios are used extensively by students on courses in performing arts, dance and drama.
Open access IT facilities are available for those times when you would like to study outside timetabled sessions and the library is also on hand for a wide range of books, digital resources, CDs and DVDs and silent study areas.
There is also a choice of eating places for you to try out. A Starbucks bar, gourmet sandwiches and salads and Zest cuisines are open for meals and snacks between 8am and 4pm. The Margaret Mason Centre, a large student social area is also open all day.
