Student support

The Tutor Team

Each student is allocated a personal tutor and will be given regular one-to-one sessions to discuss their progress and look at any additional support that may be needed.

The Study Support Team

If at any point students feel as though they are struggling with any aspect of their course, our Study Support Tutors are available to help. Based in the Study Centre, our team of Study Support Tutors offer individual or small group tuition, as well as support in the classroom. Our team ensures that students have the support they need both in and out of lessons and put in place dedicated support plans for any student with SEN needs.

All our staff receive ongoing safeguarding training in child protection upon joining the college and we have a specialist safeguarding team led by a designated safeguarding officer, who ensures we promote student welfare and protect students from harm.

Financial Support

We offer financial support to eligible students with our bursary scheme. We also offer discounted travel and meals.

We have qualified counsellors on site to provide support to students who may be experiencing personal problems. The counsellors will listen to them and support them for as long as they need.
